Donor Support Means Better Spaces for Patients

Legacy

Thanks to the generosity of donors, two lounges on the Morrow Wing are renovated and now open. On August 9th, the Foundation and Health Centre celebrated these ‘new’ spaces with the donors who made them possible. A big thank you to Marilyn Lightstone and Moses Znaimer, who helped raise funds for a beautifully-renovated lounge on the 4th floor. An accomplished actor and artist, Marilyn also made a donation of over 100 pieces of her own artwork to enrich both newly renovated lounges, as well as other areas within the Health Centre.

The newly-renovated 6th floor lounge is possible thanks to the generosity and dedication of Foundation Board member and past Chair Marilynne Day-Linton. A lifelong west-ender, Marilynne funded the renovations of this lounge in honour of her father Douglas, who was a patient and advocate for the care St. Joe’s provides to our west-end community.

It is generous supporters like Marilyn Lightstone and Moses Znaimer, and Marilynne Day-Linton who support St. Joe’s in keeping the Promise to make Toronto’s west-end one of the healthiest communities in Canada.
