Since their inception 10 years ago, the Knights of Columbus – Cardinal Wyszynski Council 9296 has been a very strong community supporter of St. Joe’s, and their recent gift of $25,000 to support the redevelopment of St. Joe’s Emergency is only one example of their incredible support.
Tracking over 100,000 annual visits in a space fit to accommodate up to 60,000, the redevelopment of St. Joe’s Emergency Department is a top priority of our Promise Campaign. Thanks to the generosity of the Knights of Columbus – Cardinal Wyszynski Council 9296, we are that much closer to achieving this critical milestone.
“We are in the community to help people” expresses Knight Andrew Kwiatkowski, “we believe the heart of a healthy community is our local hospital, and the Knights truly value the care St. Joe’s provides to the 500,000 people they treat each year.”
In recognition of their incredible gift, an assessment room in our Family Birthing Centre has been named in their honour.
We are extremely privileged to have the Knights of Columbus – Cardinal Wyszynski Council 9296 as incredible community partners, and thanks to them, St. Joe’s can continue to keep our Promise to make Toronto’s west-end one of the healthiest communities in Canada.
