This year, Arturo, President of Mobilaw, is one of the supporting sponsors for Cycle 4 St. Joe’s on September 20th—an event that happens every year to raise critical funds for the health centre. The care they have received for their family made them realize the importance of supporting their community hospital and giving back–and they want others in the community to know too!
“Our oldest is 12,” they say, “and ever since we can remember, when we can’t see our pediatrician, we head straight to the clinic.”
Their kids love the waiting area in the clinic, but most importantly they feel safe and at ease with all the doctors and staff there. During a visit to the clinic in April, their 6-year-old daughter was taken aback by all the changes in place due to COVID-19. “Everyone was wearing a mask and faceshield,” Alessia recalls, “but as soon as our daughter saw the doctor’s picture on his badge, she recognized him and immediately relaxed.”
As parents, these are the experiences they value most and have always had at the CIBC Just for Kids Clinic. In their opinion, the clinic is one of the ways St. Joe’s is keeping their Promise to meet the diverse needs of our west-end community.
