Join a diverse community of women and help St. Joe’s keep the Promise
It was 100 years ago that a group of caring and determined women decided to make a difference to the health of our west-end community. They saw a need and stepped up to fill it. These women were the Sisters of St. Joseph—an order of nuns who came to Toronto to help deal with a diphtheria epidemic and founded our community hospital in 1921 to care for our west-end community.
These courageous women have left their imprint on St. Joe’s. Their mission, vision and values endure as does their Promise to look after the unique health needs of our community.
You can say a lot has changed in 100 years…except our St. Joe’s Promise.
Celebrating 100 years is a historic milestone. We are inspired by this anniversary and the importance of women leadership at St. Joe’s. Now, we are asking 100 women to come together to collectively make a commitment to help St. Joe’s keep the Promise to care for this community for another 100 years. Together, we can make a BIG impact!
WHO? Women who care about our west-end community and share an interest in helping St. Joe’s care for our families, friends and neighbours.
HOW? Make your own Promise to support St. Joe’s. You can do this by joining with other women and supporting two of our most urgent priorities—building a new Emergency Department that’s almost double the size, and creating a new Centre of Excellence in Breast Cancer Screening and Treatment to provide one-stop dedicated care for women.
WHY? Your support is critical to help build these larger critical areas for care—especially now with our learnings from COVID-19. This is also an opportunity for you to connect with other like-minded women and be part of an exclusive event with top health care thought leaders.
