As leaders of Unity Health Toronto and members of the west end community, we are truly excited by the extraordinary changes coming to St. Joe’s over the next few years. Much of that change will be driven by the new patient care tower, allowing us to care for more people in the community, and enhance our care environments for patients and their families.

We are also excited by the healthcare revolution on the horizon. We continue our relentless pursuit of improvements in developing and implementing artificial intelligence solutions to improve care. Embedding AI in community hospitals like St. Joe’s—where over 80% of care is delivered—will put us at the forefront of championing this technology, one which helps solve some of the biggest challenges in healthcare today.

St. Joe’s anchors the west end of Unity Health’s connected system of healthcare that stretches across our entire city, with St. Michael’s Hospital downtown and Providence Healthcare in the east. Our vision is simple—to provide you and your families with the best possible care experiences thanks to the innovations we’re working on, housed in a new, state-of-the-art facility, and to inspire change across our country.
