With 900,000 ft2 of additional space with expansive views of the lake and maximized daylight, our building will embrace sustainability and green building practices to become a model of sustainable innovation in the hospital space for the next century to come.
- 80,000 ft2 of new Emergency Department space.
- Capacity to serve 115,000 Emergency visits annually.
- 13 NEW operating rooms that are 50% larger.
- 12 ADDITIONAL intensive care beds, for a total of 38 new single rooms.
- NEW state-of-the art medical device sterilization facilities.
- BEST-IN-CLASS infection control, informed by our COVID experiences.
- 100 ADDITIONAL BEDS, for a total of 500 beds.
- DEDICATED SPACES for families and loved ones.
- TWO FLOORS shelled for future growth (72 beds)
- 340 BEDS in new, single patient rooms with private washrooms
- 2 FLOORS dedicated to mental health, 33% MORE BEDS, all single-patient rooms.
