“I am incredibly grateful for St. Joe’s”
Jackie’s story of connection

For Jackie Cooper, St. Joe’s is more than a hospital—it’s a place of community, care, and connection.

More than 20 years ago, Jackie joined the St. Joe’s team. Working closely with hospital leaders, physicians, and staff, she saw the true heart of St. Joe’s: a compassionate community dedicated to extraordinary care.

Her connection deepened when her son, Philip, became a patient of Dr. Dilip Mehta, the hospital’s former Chief of Pediatrics. “The care he received was exceptional,” Jackie recalls. “It stayed with both of us. Dr. Mehta treated everyone with kindness and respect.” Philip remained under Dr. Mehta’s care until he turned 18—never wanting to switch doctors, even as he sat in a waiting room filled with children’s toys.

“I am incredibly grateful for St. Joe’s…I extend my heartfelt thanks to the physicians, staff, and volunteers who make it a beacon of excellence for the west-end community and beyond.”

That lasting gratitude inspired Jackie to include a gift in her Will to support St. Joe’s and ensure other families can access the same compassionate care for generations to come.

“A legacy gift allows me to have a lasting impact. It’s a good feeling to know the people and organizations you care about will be supported, even beyond your lifetime.”

Jackie’s commitment has made her a member of the St. Joe’s Society, a community of visionary donors helping to transform healthcare for future generations.

Legacy giving is a powerful way to build a future rooted in kindness. Through her gift, Jackie is helping to ensure that St. Joe’s continues to serve our west-end community with compassion and excellence for years to come.
