Rules and Regulations

Cycle 4 St. Joe’s Fundraising Contest Terms & Conditions

  1. Contest Sponsor
    The contest (“Contest”) is sponsored by St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation, Toronto (the “Sponsor”),
    with support from Bergmanis Preyra LLP, Chain Reaction Bicycles, Trilogy Physiotherapy, and Think
    Fitness.
  2. Contest Period
    The Contest begins at 12:00 a.m. (Eastern Time) on Monday, September 22, 2025, and ends at 12:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) on Friday, September 26, 2025 (the “Contest Period”).
  3. Eligibility
    Open to all registered participants in Cycle for St. Joe’s 2025 who:
    1. Are residents of Ontario,
    2. Have reached the age of majority (18+) in Ontario at the time of entry, and
    3. Raise a minimum of $250 CAD in donations or pledges towards their personal fundraising goal by 12:00 p.m. (noon) ET on September 26, 2025.

Exclusions: Employees, officers, directors, representatives, and agents of the Sponsor, as well as their immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members, are not eligible to enter.

  1. How to Enter
    No purchase is required.
    Eligible participants are automatically entered into the Contest once their personal fundraising total equals or exceeds $250 during the Contest Period.
    Limit of one (1) entry per eligible participant, regardless of fundraising amount above $250.
  2. Prizes
    There are five (5) prizes available to be won:

Grand Prize:
· One (1) 2026 Specialized Allez bike (approximate retail value: $1,800 CAD) courtesy of
Bergmanis Preyra LLP and Chain Reaction Bicycles.
Secondary Prizes:
· Two (2) massage-related gift baskets from Trilogy Physiotherapy (each valued at $250 CAD).
· Two (2) personal training certificates from Think Fitness (each valued at $250 CAD).

Total approximate retail value of all prizes: $2,800 CAD.

Prizes must be accepted as awarded; no substitutions or cash equivalents are permitted except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.

  1. Odds of Winning
    The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries (i.e., participants who meet the $250 fundraising threshold by the deadline).
  2. Winner Selection
    A random draw will be conducted by the Sponsor on Friday, September 26, 2025, at approximately 2:00 p.m. ET at St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation offices in Toronto, Ontario.
    Five (5) eligible entries will be randomly selected, one for each prize, in the order listed in Section 5.
  3. Skill-Testing Question
    In order to be declared a winner, each selected entrant must correctly answer, without assistance, a mathematical skill-testing question (e.g., “What is (12 × 3) – (10 ÷ 2)?”). Failure to correctly answer will result in disqualification and another entry being selected.
  4. Winner Notification and Redemption
    Potential winners will be contacted by the Sponsor at the email or phone number provided in their Cycle for St. Joe’s registration.
    The Sponsor will make at least two (2) attempts to contact each selected entrant within five (5) business days of the draw.

To be confirmed a winner, the entrant must:
1. Correctly answer the skill-testing question, and
2. Sign and return a standard Declaration and Release Form confirming compliance with these rules and releasing the Sponsor and prize providers from liability.
If a selected entrant cannot be reached within the time frame, fails to meet requirements, or declines the prize, they will be disqualified and another eligible entrant will be selected.

  1. Publicity & Release
    By accepting a prize, winners consent to the use of their name, city of residence, and image in any publicity carried out by the Sponsor without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.
  2. Privacy
    Personal information collected in connection with the Contest will be used by the Sponsor solely for the administration of the Contest and in accordance with the Sponsor’s privacy policy. No further communications will be sent unless participants have expressly opted in.
  3. General Conditions
    The Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility and disqualify entrants who do not comply with these rules.
    The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest if fraud, technical failures, or other causes compromise the integrity of the Contest.
    All decisions of the Sponsor are final and binding.
  4. Legal Compliance
    This Contest is intended to comply with the Competition Act (Canada), the Criminal Code of Canada, and applicable AGCO guidelines.
    Void where prohibited by law.
  5. Governing Law
    The Contest is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in Ontario courts.
