St. Joe’s is the west-end’s community hospital and we have our west-end neighbours to thank for raising almost $100 million for the Promise Campaign.
Our community has come together to help St. Joe’s keep its promise of meeting the health care needs of Toronto’s west. Through donations, fundraising, and volunteering our neighbours have funded critical needs that help St. Joe’s provide the best health care possible. And together, we’ll continue to keep our Promise.
You’ll get 80% of the healthcare you’ll ever need locally. That’s why your local community hospital is so important. St. Joseph’s Health Centre is the community hospital for Toronto’s west end, providing close-to-home care for 500,000 people. From births, emergencies, fractures and infections to ongoing care like cancer treatment and dialysis, St. Joe’s is here for our neighbours.
St. Joe’s needs support from our community because government funding doesn’t pay for all of our needs. Donors help build new spaces, modernize facilities and buy new equipment.
St. Joe’s Promise to our West End Community
St. Joe’s has stood here for nearly a century.
We’ve watched a community grow, and we’ve grown with it.
We see everything. Hear everything. Forget nothing.
We see both needs and what needs to be done to meet them.
And we see the hope for the future that we all have in common.
As long as there are new ways to care for our west end community, together we will find them.
As long as you need us, we will be here.

Meet the Board of Directors
We’re so grateful to our dedicated Board of Directors. They have all promised to do what they can to ensure that St. Joe’s provides the best healthcare possible. Most live in the west-end or have history here. They’ve seen first-hand the importance of having excellent care that’s close-to-home.
