Lachlan MacQuarrie

I feel it’s important to give back in any way we can.

Lachlan MacQuarrie lives in our west-end community with his wife and two daughters. While his family has used the CIBC Just for Kids Clinic, Lachlan’s main connection to St. Joe’s is through his involvement in supporting the hospital – not just as a donor but as a volunteer.

“I joined the Bloor West Community Campaign and was happy to chair the volunteer team because I thought I could help make a difference and I also saw the value for me and my family,” he says.

During his time as a volunteer, Lachlan has seen the transformation of the CIBC Just for Kids Clinic and the opening of new areas for care across the Health Centre, including the dialysis centre and renovated mental health unit. “Through events and fundraising activities in Bloor West, we have raised about $300,000,” he says. “The funds we are raising are just as important as the connections we are making in our community. We’re bringing everyone together to support our local health centre.”

“I am proud to give back and I want to set an example for my children so they can see the different ways we can help others.”
