Innovation in Mental Health Care: Non-Invasive rTMS Therapy Program

Patient in mental health department with therapist's hand on her shoulder

At St. Joe’s, donor support helps expand vital mental health programs and services for individuals navigating mental health challenges, especially young adults who are often facing some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Through donor generosity, specifically the Slaight Family Foundation, St. Joe’s innovative, non-invasive rTMS therapy program is helping people living with depression and anxiety experience real, measurable change — often after other treatments have not worked. This groundbreaking therapy is offering patients renewed hope and a new path forward.

To date, over 150 patients have accessed this therapy, with over 30 patients receiving care in the past year alone and many experiencing lasting improvements in both depression and anxiety.

I just can’t say enough good things about rTMS and I want to thank the donors for providing the machines and the staff. Without this treatment, I might still be in the inpatient unit and not at home with my husband and two kids.

As a result of generous donor support, more patients are finding relief, stability, and compassionate care close to home.
