Jacob Yerex, Salah Bachir and St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation President & CEO Maria Dyck at the fourth annual Salah Bachir Show.
What a night it was! The fourth annual Salah Bachir Show took place on Sunday evening in support of better care at St. Joseph’s Health Centre.
The event raised over $450,000 bringing the fundraising total for the Salah Bachir show to an amazing $2.1 million. The evening’s entertainment featured the wonderful Andrea Martin who brought a version of her Broadway show to support St. Joe’s, her local community hospital. The evening also featured Gemini-winning actress and singer Jackie Richardson, as well as R&B, jazz and gospel singer-songwriter Billy Newton-Davis.
Thanks to Salah’s tremendous support, St. Joseph’s Health Centre will soon have the new Bachir Yerex Family Dialysis Centre. Now, proceeds from the Salah Bachir Show will support the transformation of St. Joe’s Emergency Department, the busiest Emergency in downtown Toronto.
“There is so much need in our communities and it gives me great pleasure to help,” said Salah Bachir. “St. Joe’s is a particular passion of mine because as a member of the west-end community and a patient, I want to help my neighbours get the best health care possible.”
