In April 2018, Andrews Sherway Gardens hosted a shopping event to raise money for mental health services at St. Joe’s.
The idea for the fundraiser came from community supporter Jennifer English who organized the event with friend and Andrews’ store manager Mina Ely. This wonderful event, coupled with a percentage of in-store sales over the month of April, raised over $15,000 for St. Joe’s.
“I grew up with a strong sense of community values,” says Jennifer. “Now that I live and work in the west end, I looked for ways to support my local community. It was through hearing so many stories about St. Joe’s that I decided to become a supporter.”
Thanks to donors and community partners like Andrews, patients in crisis will receive compassionate care in a welcoming, calming space with comfortable patient rooms, greater privacy and separate areas for adults and children.
