Earlier this week we welcomed our generous donors of the Emergency Department, volunteers and many of our community members to tour the first phase of our emergency redevelopment.
Our new space is the first step of many improvements still to come in the emergency, with more changes coming in the future as part of a large redevelopment of our hospital.
This space is built based on our learnings from the pandemic, and is equipped with the latest in technology designed to greatly enhance safety and patient experience and provide the best care experiences closer to home. St. Joe’s looks after half a million people.
Our Emergency Department is our front door and sees 100,000 visits annually, making it among the busiest emergency departments in the GTA and beyond. It’s where our neighbours come for around-the-clock care when they need it most.
There are more exciting openings in the coming months at St. Joe’s that will ensure the best patient care experience for you and your loved ones. We need your support now and in the future to make this transformation a reality.
