Simon Nyilassy loves to cycle. He also loves St. Joe’s. On September 26th 2021 he will combine his two passions when he hops on his bike to Cycle 4 St. Joe’s.
Simon is a long-time westender and Chair of the Foundation Board of Directors at St. Joe’s. He says there couldn’t be a better time to raise critical funds for St. Joe’s. “The doctors, nurses and staff at St. Joe’s have worked tirelessly for months on the frontlines in our fight against COVID-19, and in keeping us healthy and safe,” he says. “Their hard work and dedication is an inspiration to us all. It’s been difficult, but they are always here.”
Simon says the outpouring of support from our community towards St. Joe’s has been amazing. “Our neighbours have come together in ways we haven’t seen to support our Health Centre and our teams,” he says. “They’re showing that they really care for them.”
Riding is another way to show our west-end pride and support for St. Joe’s. “All of us who are giving back in some way to St. Joe’s are West End Warriors,” he says. “There are many ways to help, but if you like to ride and you want to support your hospital, it’s not too late to register to ride or support a team or individual who is cycling for St. Joe’s.”
